Food ‘n’ Fun Friday: Chinese Lunar New Year

What an amazing night we had Friday 12th February 2016.

We were extremely grateful to Marc & Cindy for coming in early and making Dumplings (assisted by a few of our volunteers) and to Maggie for cooking our dinner (2 of her chinese cooking class students did prep work earlier in the day)

The kids Pinata was a huge hit, if a bit strong (even a couple of the adults couldn’t break it without having a couple of ‘hits’ but once it split, there was mayhem as the kids dived on the lollies.

Coordinator Kath made a heartfelt speech about it being her last Food n Fun Friday as she has resigned and finishes on February 26th heading for country Victoria and a new adventure. We wish her all the best and thank her for the work she did in the few years she’s been our coordinator.

Check out some of the photos from our event and we look forward to seeing you at our next Food n Fun Friday on March 11th for a Multicultural event.
