HISTORY – IN THE BEGINNING
In 2005 an old kindergarten narrowly missed being turned into a townhouse. Saved from its demolition destined fate by a group of mums, it was transformed into a friendly multipurpose neighbourhood house.
Now, at the Notting Hill Neighbourhood House we provide a range of classes and events, a safe playground and a friendly space for members of the community to visit and enjoy.
Our house caters to people of all ages and backgrounds, we hope to engage and act as a place of support for the residents of Notting Hill and the wider community. We are focused on bringing people together and building stronger community ties through shared fun and learning!
The House was opened in July 2007 by the Governor of Victoria, his
Excellency Professor David de Kretser.
