We welcomed our community to celebrate one of the world’s most cherished culinary treasures – DUMPLINGS! This festival serves as a testament to the evolution and spread of the humble dumpling, spanning across cultures and continents.
The event also marked the revival of ‘FOOD FUN FRIDAY,’ a beloved tradition that NHNH hosted for many years, leaving behind a trail of fond memories that our neighbours still share to this day.
Our delightful spread featured an array of dumplings home-made by community chefs representing diverse cultures: Italian Ravioli by the talented Giulia, Chinese Wontons masterfully prepared by Albert, and Nepalese Momos skillfully crafted by Rahul. These superstar chefs devoted countless hours over several days to produce nearly 500 dumplings each, resulting in a grand total of nearly 1500 dumplings, shared with our community!
We extend a heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated volunteers who played a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of the event: Albert, Giulia, Josepe, Judy, Naomi, Ting, Lucas, Ms. Yun, Margaret, Rose, Sharon, Yan, Ninad, and Parminder.
A special note of gratitude goes out to Community Bank Pinewood for their generous support in funding this remarkable event. We hope to collaborate further with you in the future!
