Notting Hill Neighbourhood House celebrated Holi (the Indian festival of colours) on 11 March. Holi is a north Indian festival, celebrating the onset of spring (in the northern hemisphere) and the victory of good over evil.
We had lots of fun with colour play out in the mural playground, henna tattoo from Devika’s Heena Art and created a community artwork for the Notting Hill Community Laneways project. We feasted on catering from Silver Platter Catering + dishes brought in to share from our neighbours.
Thank you to the community members who helped to organise and execute this event. Shout out to Debolina, Dharmista, Yash, Mr Shashi and Jui.
This event was funded by City of Monash and sponsored by ME Bank.
