The Notting Hill Street Library is always open!

In September 2018, Notting Hill Neighborhood House purchased a large waterproof fridge that community members Margaret Blair and her husband Rob Blair brilliantly converted into the Notting Hill Community Street Library.

Located outside of the Notting Hill Neighbourhood House this library has become a focal point for community members to leave, take and share their loved books. Everyone in the neighbourhood is always welcome to borrow a book here and drop it off when you are done.We have books of all sorts here. Reading materials include adult fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, funky comics, and works in English and Chinese language.

We would like to thank Monash Council and its Community Strengthening Program for providing our community with a fabulous Community Street Library and all the benefits that come from engaging in the Literary Arts.

Notting Hill Community Street Library Official Opening

Held during a warm summer evening, the community descended upon Notting Hill Neighbourhood House to celebrate and officiate their newest community asset. While those gathered ranged in ages and cultural backgrounds, everyone shared time chatting about their favourite books, sharing food and drink.
