We had a special visit from the local police on Mon 24 Oct for our ‘What’s in a Police Car?’ visit. Children and their carers were invited to join us at Notting Hill Neighbourhood House to meet the local police officers and take a look inside a real police car!
The officers gave a talk on how the police help others in our community and how to stay safe. There was a Q&A section for kids, while carers enjoyed some afternoon tea.
This workshop was in partnership with City of Monash and Victoria Police as a part of ‘Community Safety Month’. Community Safety Month is held across Monash every October and reminds us that we all have a role to play in keeping our community safe.
Thank you to Tina, the community safety officer from Monash Council, for helping us to organise this fun and interactive visit.
