PLAYGROUP

From Birth to 3 year olds

TUESDAYS & WEDNESDAYS | Weekly | $30 per term to cover materials

Join us for playgroup sessions twice a week at Notting Hill Neighbourhood House!

  • TUESDAYS | Weekly | 9:30am – 11am | aimed at 2-3 year olds
  • WEDNESDAYS | Weekly | 11:30am – 1:30pm | aimed at ages 0-1 year olds

What to Expect
Notting Hill Munchkins is a relaxed, welcoming space for little ones to explore, play, and grow, while parents and carers connect. We focus on explorational play, with activities that support social skills, creativity, and motor development.

Each session includes:
✨ A mix of fun activities—think sensory play, creative crafts, and outdoor exploring
✨ A group story and song time
✨ A cozy space to enjoy bring-your-own snacks

It’s not just about the kids! Playgroup is also a great chance to meet other parents and carers, share experiences, and build friendships.

Meet: Our Community Volunteers

Notting Hill Munchkins is run by volunteers who are passionate about ensuring you and your little one are engaged and are having fun. Our volunteers hold current WWCC and National Police Checks. For more details please contact our office.

HOMEWORK CLUB

For Children 7 years and older.

TUESDAYS | Weekly | 4 pm – 5.30 pm | $30 per term to cover materials

Join us at the Homework Club located at Notting Hill Neighbourhood House, where children aged 7 and older can receive valuable homework assistance every Tuesday afternoon from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

Our Homework Club offers a space for primary and secondary students to work on homework alongside their friends, fostering a sense of belonging and connection. From math problems to essay writing, our doors are open for your young people to come in and set aside some time to work on homework or whatever school projects are due. We hope this spaces helps your child enjoy homework and connect with others who live in the area.

Our dedicated volunteers, all with a Working With Children Check (WWCC), are committed to supporting young learners in a safe and nurturing environment, helping them thrive academically and fostering a brighter future.

STITCH AND SEW

For all ages and skill levels.

Wednesday 7 pm – 9 pm

$18 for casual class | $85 for 6 class pass | $105 for whole term 

Stitch and Sew class at Notting Hill Neighbourhood House is designed to accommodate all levels – from beginners to intermediate or advanced students. If you are looking to learn a new skill, get back to an old hobby or receive some encouragement to continue with an ongoing project, join us! All materials are available at NHNH. You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine and materials if you wish to.

Meet: Joanne Devlin

Joanne is patient and incredibly knowledgeable about all things sewing. Through considerate instruction she passes on her sewing knowledge and experience to all her students, helping them to create beautiful sewn crafted objects and clothing.

TECH 101

For older adults.

Friday 10 am – 3 pm | $10 for 1 hour session

Tech 101 at Notting Hill Neighbourhood House is a one-on-one tailored hourly session with community volunteers. Build your online skills and learn at your own pace on everything from accessing the internet, making video calls, scanning QR codes, online shopping and any other technological skills you wish to learn.

U3A GUITAR

For older adults.

Wednesday – Beginners class  |  Monday – Intermediate class

Students will learn the basics of playing finger-style classical guitar and a few well-known tunes in the first year. Basic left and right-hand technique will also be taught, alongside how to read Guitar Tablature.

Meet: The U3A Group

The U3A group is a unique and exciting organisation that provides, through its U3As, life-enhancing and life-changing opportunities. Retired and semi-retired people come together and learn together, not for qualifications but for their own reward: the sheer joy of discovery!

PILATES AND YOGA

For all ages and skill levels.

Monday & Thursday 10 am – 11 am | $15 – 1 hour session

Yoga in combination with Pilates is a workout that will increase your awareness of your body’s alignment and movement patterns, as well as give you a full-body workout. Unlike building a body that is simply muscular such as in other workout regimens, the use of both Yoga and Pilates at the same time is conducive to the development of a body that is strong, as well as lean, graceful, and efficient.

With over 20+ years of experience as a Yoga and Pilates teacher, Anne has created a steady following of students who regularly come to her classes to get active with Yoga and Pilates.

COWORKING SPACE

For all ages and people.
