✨ Neighbours in Spotlight#9

Meet Albert, a long-term resident of Notting Hill who has seen the area grow and change over the years. A graduate of Monash University, Albert has been an integral part of the community including helping to set up Notting Hill Neighbourhood House over 15 years ago.

In recent years, Albert has been involved in the Notting Hill Neighbourhood House in various ways. He generously picks up and drops off bread and other food items to our Street Pantry, ensuring that community members in need have access to essential resources.

In addition to his donations, Albert also volunteers with NHNH, offering his time and expertise to support various initiatives and events. His commitment to helping others and his willingness to step up and make a difference has been inspiring.

Albert's continued contributions to the community is invaluable, and we are thankful for all that he does to make Notting Hill a better place to live. His generosity and kindness serve as a reminder of the power of community and the importance of supporting one another, especially during challenging times.

We are honoured to feature Albert as a part of our "Neighbours in Spotlight" campaign. His dedication to the community and his unwavering commitment to making a difference are a shining example of the positive impact that one person can have on an entire neighbourhood.

✨ Neighbours in Spotlight#8

Meet Roushan, a mother and grandmother who has made a significant impact on the Notting Hill community through her generosity and willingness to share with others. Migrating from Bangladesh almost 40 years ago, Roushan's story is a powerful example of the potential for people from all backgrounds to thrive in Australia.

Roushan has donated generously to the Notting Hill Neighbourhood House (NHNH), providing critical support for programs that benefit the entire community. Her contributions have enabled NHNH to continue to support the staff members who make a positive impact in our community.

In addition to her financial support, Roushan has also been a powerful advocate for sharing with others in the community. Whether it's through creating food packages for those in need or offering support and encouragement to those facing difficult times, Roushan's generosity and compassion have touched the lives of many in Notting Hill.

Roushan's story is a beautiful example of the power of community engagement and the potential for individuals to make a real difference in the lives of those around them. Her commitment to giving back to the community serves as a reminder that we all have something to offer and that even small acts of kindness can have a profound impact on the world around us.
